November 4: Daylight savings time is upon us! If that "groggy feeling" is creeping up on your family, you might check out this article to cope: 5 Ways to Prep Your Kids for Daylight Savings Time
November 6 (Tuesday) am: Vision screening by Lion's Club
November 9 (Friday): Parent-teacher conferences. This is a very important time to meet with each other and discuss the best plan for your child's success in first grade. I will be sharing your child's report card, looking at online learning, updating you on upcoming events, handing out the holiday Scholastic Book Club flyer, and celebrating your child's progress. Every family is requested to attend. Please follow this link to sign up if you have not done so yet:

November 15: First grade Thanksgiving celebration (details to follow)
November 19-22: Thanksgiving break. No school.
A gigantic "thank you" goes out to to Chris White, Deborah Roberts and Peggy Gatlin, who made it their mission for every child in first grade to have a cubby, beeswax crayons, watercolor pencils and more! Yay! It takes a village!
What else could we ask for?? Never fear! We do need a few more "essentials."
We would love to use pine cones for a Thanksgiving writing project, and we would like to borrow neck ties for a timely turkey tango.
Thank you for your support!
