I have been very much enjoying spending time with your wonderful children. We will be continuing to explore the world of storytelling, the life cycle of the sunflower, the gifts of friendship, the changing of the season, creating artwork for Taos Fall Arts, as well as working on reading, writing and math.
TUTORING
Tutoring days will be Tuesdays. I will be sending you an email if your child is requested to be in tutoring after school on that day.
MORNING ROUTINE
Please help your child establish a morning routine of coming to school with the following items every day: WATER BOTTLE, backpack, snack, and on THURSDAYS a homework folder.
CRUCIAL INGREDIENTS TO STUDENT SUCCESS
regular bedtime (in bed no later than 8:30)
turn off screens at least an hour before bedtime
read with your child daily
feed your child breakfast every morning
LUNCHES
Organic lunch has been a great success! If you are able to prepay, please do! Otherwise please bring the exact payment and DEPOSIT IT IN THE MANILA ENVELOPE in the first grade room by 8:15. Only send payment in backpack if you are unable to walk your child in.
