Saturday, Oct 13: 10:00-12:00 AM
Youth Storytelling Workshop facilitated by James Navé

For kids of all ages, this storytelling workshop will introduce young people to the basics of storytelling. In this workshop, our young folks will be working with the playful idea that everyone, no matter what age, has an endless galley of compelling stories to tell. They’ll work with how to tell their stories in meaning ways which will showcase the best of what they have to offer.  Each participant will have a safe opportunity to develop a meaningful story that will hopefully be the beginning of many stories they will tell to their family, friends, and community. SOMOS Salon Space ~108-B Civic Plaza Drive, Taos ~ Admission is free.

October 17: Field trip to Harwood Museum
Our first exciting trip to the Harwood will focus on landscape art and watercolor painting. My experience has been that parents (and teachers) find the art program at the Harwood as enticing as children. You are welcome to join us on any and all of these field trips. That's the good news! Now, for the sad news....

Unfortunately TISA is not able to provide transportation for Harwood visits this year. We will have to rely on our own "tribe" to make those amazing artsy trips happen! The solution: carpool!

Getting TO THE MUSEUM: carpooling.
Please let me know if you are able to help with carpooling for any of our four Harwood trips listed here:
October 17 (Wed.) leaving from TISA at 1:10pm
December 12 (Wed.) leaving from TISA at 1:10pm
February 20 (Wed.) leaving from TISA at 1:10pm
April 24 (Wed.) leaving from TISA at 1:10pm

LEAVING the museum: 3:30pm You pick up or carpool.
There are two options at the end of the field trip.
Either you can pick up on those days at the museum at 3:30 (regular time)
OR carpool back to TISA to be in aftercare.
I will definitely need to know if your child is in aftercare or not on those days first thing in the morning, so I can make appropriate arrangements.
Please let me know if you can help carpool back to school at 3:30pm on any of the above dates.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

October 25, after school: Annual TISA Lantern Walk (details to follow)

October 29: Zombie Math After-School Fun! (details to follow)

October 31: Halloween is coming up fast! I will be sending home information as it approaches.

Club update: Finger-knitting club will be in on WEDNESDAYS (3:30-4:15) and NOT on Thursdays!
