Excerpt from this year's Art in the Schools program guide
"Students view the landscapes of Taos Founders and Taos Modern artists. Open-ended questions introduce foreground, background, time of year, seasons and places in Taos. After a lesson exploring the difference between realistic and abstract, students settle in with one painting to sketch in one of the galleries. In the studio, participants create a watercolor landscape inspired by the work in the museum and their own imagination, depicting a chosen season."
