This month we learned about the instruments of the Middle-East. Next week we are having a concert with percussion instruments!

Valentine's coming up! We will be having a class Valentine party on February 14th.

I only have one guideline about Valentines:  no candy please. Please feel free to send other treats (fruit, yogurt, cupcakes, etc.).  Thank you for your support!

We will be making a Valentine's smoothie. I am asking each child to bring one specific ingredient.
Here is what to bring:
1 container of strawberries (fresh or frozen): Athena and Cedar
1 container of raspberries (fresh or frozen): Cora and Dazie
1 container of blueberries (fresh or frozen): Lillyana, Ira
1 apple in slices: Daniel and Destiny
1 can of whipping cream: Emma and Josie
1 red beet in small chunks: Jossen
1 small cup of plain yogurt (with or without dairy): Michael Fritz and Natalia
1 banana: Michael Rocha and Nash
1 avocado: Wolfie
toppings (sprinkles, chocolate syrup, etc.): Sierra and Seth
blender -- please let me know if you can bring a blender on Thursday
fun paper cups, fun paper straws, etc.: anyone?

February 17, 9:00-12:00: PTO Sweetheart Pancake breakfast. Your child has been given three tickets and an information sheet. The PTO is asking that every child sells 3 tickets. The profit will go directly towards classroom supplies and activities. The breakfast will be held on Sunday, February 17th, 9-12pm.
